Cringleford Junior Football Club was formed in 2004 and has since grown into one of the largest grassroots junior football clubs in Norfolk.

Cringleford Junior Football Club (CJFC) began humbly in the autumn of 2004, when three dedicated dads and their sons would gather at the Cringleford Recreation Ground on Sunday mornings for a casual kick-around. What started as a small, informal gathering quickly captured the interest of the local community, leading to the official formation of the club in the summer of 2005.

By September 2005, CJFC had established its first official team, an Under-10 squad competing in the Norfolk Christian Youth League (NCYFL). This milestone marked the beginning of an incredible journey of growth and development for the club.

Over the years, CJFC has expanded significantly. Today, we are proud to support over 250 young players across 20 squads, ranging from Under-7s to Under-16s, all competing in the NCYFL. In addition to our mixed teams, we also host a vibrant girls' football school that trains every Saturday morning, providing a fun and supportive environment for young female players to develop their skills.

Our club's success and dedication to player development are exemplified by former player Alfie Payne, who went on to captain Norwich City's Under-18 team. We take immense pride in the achievements of our players, both on and off the pitch.

CJFC has a strong coaching team comprising around 50 dedicated coaches, all holding current FA DBS checks. Most of our coaches have earned their FA Level 1 qualification, with several advancing to FA Level 2. Many of our coaches started as enthusiastic parents on the sidelines, and we continue to encourage and support their progression in coaching.

Our home ground is Cringleford Recreation Ground (NR4 6XF), where the majority of our squads can be found playing and training on Saturday mornings. This bustling hub of activity reflects the club's commitment to providing a well-organized and enjoyable football experience for all our players.

In 2013, CJFC proudly achieved FA Charter Standard status, a testament to the high standards and excellent management of our club. We continually strive to grow, introducing new age groups each year as our players progress through the ranks.

At Cringleford Junior FC, our primary focus is on ensuring that children enjoy their football and develop their skills in a positive and fun environment. We are always looking for volunteers to join our coaching team and offer comprehensive support to help them develop their knowledge and expertise.

Thank you for being a part of the Cringleford Junior Football Club community. Together, we continue to build a legacy of passion, teamwork, and excellence in football.
